Supposed Lack of Permission

Saying that "no permission" was given in the Torah to do something (something that is personally believed to be wrong) does not imply any prohibition on that matter, and in itself is not a sufficient argument for any particular observance.  Lack of mention certainly does not indicate prohibition.  This is getting into adding to the commands, which IS blatantly prohibited (Dt 4:2, 12:32).
